Are you into online finance these days, and if not, why not? Internet technology has brought financial services into our own homes, and it really is as easy as A, B, C. There’s general internet banking, including the options for wiring money from home using either the banks or other financial services specifically set up for online use.

Not only does the virtual world allow us to apply for loans, make payments, and transfer money etc, but we can literally shop for anything at any time, then simply wait for the goods or services to be delivered to our front door, or email’s inbox.

Shopping, banking, studying, researching, matchmaking, and so the list goes on. If it can be done in the real world, it can be done in the virtual world too. Isn’t technology a wonderful tool?

I blogged before about the home renovations that I have been working on. The plan once I get my basement done up is to have an open room with my TV, maybe a small bar and poker table. I also want to have a little fitness area at the back of the room. I started to look around at stores for exercise equipment. Nothing fancy. An elliptical and some weights. The prices are crazy to buy new. That’s when I went to the free trade sites like Craig’s List and Kijiji and found some really decent used equipment that will save me a bundle. I think most people buy health equipment and then use it to hang their clothes on. A used elliptical, some free weights and a pull up bar and I am on my way to having a cheap home gym.

If you’re like many Americans, you move homes fairly regularly. In fact, more than 40 million Americans move every year, according to the Census Bureau. For many folks, moving is about getting into a bigger or better home. Whatever the reason, moving always brings stress and extra expense.

This month, I’m organizing my family’s move from Phoenix to Texas. We’re a family of re-locaters. With a husband in the service, I’ve gotten used to moving on a moment’s notice. But, with each move comes the task of organizing our junk much-treasured belongings, getting all the members of our family ready, scheduling appointments with Realtors, calling ahead to turn on utilities, figuring out car licensing, etc.

With each move I’ve made, I’ve learned a few things. Here are five helpful moving tips that will hopefully make your next move a little easier:
